Aberdeen boasts a huge range of shops catering to all tastes from high end designer outlets such as Michael Kors through to traditional high street names such as Marks & Spencer , John Lewis and Debenhams, as well as quirky traditional independent retailers such as those found in the Aberdeen MarketĀ on Union Street.

In addition to the larger stores, there are five main shopping centres in the city: The flagship centre at Union Square which boasts a range of high end shop and well known chain restaurants as well as a multi-plex cinema. The St. Nicholas Centre off St. Nicholas Street , The Bon Accord Centre immediately behind it on Schoolhill/Upperkirkgate, The more upmarket designer-oriented Academy just up the road on the corner of Schoolhill and Belmont Street and, finally, at the far end of Belmont Street, there is one of four entrances to The Trinity Centre.
